Four Children, One Trust | A Tunisian Family’s Choice of HIS
01 What magic lies in this school?

At HIS, one in every four students has a sibling studying on the same campus, with over 40 families enrolling multiple children across the school. Among them is one truly special family—who have sent all four of their children to HIS.
Trust is never built in a day. It grows from every small detail in daily life: orientation activities for new students, the Principal’s Honor Dinner, anti-bullying campaigns, special food festivals… When every promise is kept and every detail taken seriously, trust takes root and flourishes over time.
We also go to great lengths for home-school communication: teachers conduct home visits and even travel to Southeast Asia to meet parents face-to-face.
The strongest proof of trust lies in the success of elder siblings. Take the Thai sisters, Niya and Tanya: the elder sister fulfilled her dream at Peking University, and the younger sister is soon to enter Tsinghua University. Their father said: “Leave professional matters to professional people.”
When a family sends their second, third, and even fourth child, they entrust us with something precious. Taking an annual group photo of siblings has become our warm tradition.
These photos form a “yearbook of growth”: heights change, but smiles remain; faces change, but companionship stays.
02 Choosing HIS: A Heavy Trust
Now, let us meet this Tunisian family.
Eldest sister Samar loves music and dance, with a gentle and sensitive heart; Brother Youssef is a passionate boy chasing his dreams on the football field; Twins Lina and Layen shine like little stars, growing from innocence to independence, lighting up their own world step by step.
They are from Tunisia. In autumn 2024, the family moved from Yiwu to Zhuji, and all four children enrolled at HIS together.

Why HIS? The parents gave clear reasons:
A safe, secure campus free from bullying
A mature British curriculum with full English instruction
Professional and reliable teachers
a positive, encouraging learning environment
Comprehensive support for students’ academic and personal growth
To pursue this education, their mother settled in Zhuji with the children. Later, their father returned to Yiwu for work, and the children began commuting daily—but the bond between home and school never weakened. The parents collaborate closely with the school to find the best educational approach for their children, and the school fully accommodates each family’s individual needs.

“What we value most is not just grades, but that our children are seen, respected, and supported here,” their mother said.
03 Finding Her Own Rhythm Through Growth
Samar, in Grade 10, is the eldest of the family. Outgoing and passionate about music and dance, she has a delicate and sensitive personality.
However, boarding life troubled her at first. Unfamiliar surroundings, social adjustments, and emotional fluctuations of adolescence often left her feeling low. Instead of simple solutions, the school patiently supported her time and again: rearranging dormitories, adjusting seating, and helping her build a safe and comfortable social circle.

“Our greatest effort was to make Samar feel that this environment is kind and welcoming,” said her homeroom teacher, Mr. Bruce.
Today, Samar is gradually finding her rhythm. She focuses more in class and participates more actively in activities. Her light may not be flashy, but it is growing brighter day by day.
04 Youssef: From Arguments to Leadership
Youssef, in Grade 7, is the only boy among the four and a well-known “football fanatic” in his class.

Life Experience Course
After school every day, he rushes to the field with his friends. The school launched a football club to provide professional training and encouraged him to compete in events such as the Sports Festival.
At the HIS International Sports Festival, he ran with full energy and passion on the pitch. Yet football gave him far more than excitement and glory on the field.
When he first arrived at HIS, Youssef was independent, thoughtful, and naturally leadership-oriented—but he often clashed with classmates from different countries due to his way of expressing himself. With guidance from teachers and parents, and through interacting with peers of diverse personalities, he gradually learned to communicate calmly, follow rules, and resolve conflicts peacefully.
Now he gets along well with classmates and often helps new students settle in. “He is growing from a debater into a true leader,” said his homeroom teacher, Ms. Rita.
05 The Twins’ March Toward Independence
Lina and Layen, twin sisters in Grade 4, are a lovely sight on campus.

When they first enrolled, they were often forgetful: missing homework, losing belongings, and neglecting to organize their lockers. With consistent, patient guidance from teachers, they gradually developed a sense of responsibility and good study habits. Today, they voluntarily tidy the classroom, keep track of their assignments, and even help new students learn class rules.
Changes also appeared in their daily lives. As a Muslim family, the children require halal food. For every field trip or activity, the school specially arranges halal meals tailored to their preferences. In their first semester, the twins did not join off-campus trips due to their young age and parental concerns.
By the second semester, they completed the Xi’an study tour, staying with their homeroom teacher—even though they missed their mother and cried at times. On the recent Shanghai Disney study tour, the sisters stayed independently in their own room without teacher accompaniment.
From dependence to independence, from shyness to courage—— in one year, Lina and Layen completed their own “march toward independence.”

06 Home-School Collaboration: Nurturing Every Step of Growth
This family’s story is a warm reflection of HIS’s philosophy of holistic education.
We see:
Academically, the school provides personalized attention and support for each child;
In daily life, every detail is carefully arranged—from halal meals to accommodation on study tours;
Emotionally, homeroom teachers and staff offer thoughtful care, helping children overcome cultural and developmental challenges;
In interests, football clubs, music events, dance groups… every child’s passion is encouraged and nurtured.
Most importantly, home and school maintain open, honest communication. Parents stand side by side with the school, and the school adapts to meet the needs of every family.
At HIS
We believe:
Every child is a light
In Conclusion
Four children, four personalities,
Four stories still being written.
From Tunisia to Yiwu,
and from Yiwu to Zhuji,
This family traveled across mountains and seas to put down roots at HIS.
They bring not only multilingual cultural diversity,
but also the purest and deepest trust in education.
At HIS,
We believe:
Every child is a light,
each with a different blooming time
and unique brightness.
All we can do is provide the safest soil,
the warmest care,
and wait patiently
for each flower to bloom.
