The Academy of Foreign Teachers debuted! The Chinese version of Snow White is coming back with a new look!

When the familiar Western fairy tales are retold in authentic Chinese language, the “play connects the world” theme has the most vivid commentary. The strongest foreign teacher team breaks the barrier between Chinese and Western culture, and re-creates the memories of childhood with professional acting. Let us feel the charm of the new fairy tale.

The Soul of the Silk Road

The story is inspired by October Xi’an study tour of personal experience. When the foreign study group encounters the soul of the ancient poet in the museum, the thousand-year rhyme becomes an emotional dialogue across language and civilization. This is not only a poetic encounter, but also a poetic dialogue across language, civilization and time and space under the theme of “drama connecting the world and saying about China”.

Chang’e travels to the moon

When Chang’e flew to the moon to protect righteousness, this ancient legend was reinterpreted on the stage. It not only interprets the parting and guarding oriental story, but also illuminates the Chinese culture with the thousand-year moonlight “guard the auspicious, fulfill the righteousness” character inheritance.

“The Assassination of the King of Qin”

The story of Jing Ke’s assassination of Qin, with humor and tragedy — the unique perspective of weaving is re-interpreted on the contemporary stage, showing the profound tension between personal choice and the tide of the times, prompting us to “personal destiny and the responsibility of the times” for deep thinking.

Midfield Highlights

Halfway through the competition, a melodious and beautiful Yue Opera “Lin Meimei Fell from the Sky” was serenely sung. The students who had first encountered the beauty of Yue Opera in the “Sense of China” class a short time ago, performed on the stage to complete the sublimation from perception to expression. The water sleeves are lightly raised, the singing is melodious. This intangible cultural heritage art, which is known as “Chinese opera,” connects tradition and modernity vividly with delicate feelings and elegant charm, bringing the audience the artistic enjoyment of oriental aesthetics.

“The Takeout Incident in the Court”

When the ancient palace meets “takeout”, a series of cultural misunderstandings turn into laughter on the stage. This lighthearted play shows us that: openness and humor can turn cultural differences into bridges of understanding — and convey the power of inclusion in the midst of laughter.

“Hongmen Banquet”

The story of the Hongmen Banquet vividly shows, through the thrilling sword dance of Xiang Zhuang and the wisdom of Zhang Liang, the wisdom of decision-making and the strategy of using people, so that the audience can see both the thrilling historical moment and understand the mind and pattern — how to really determine the direction of the times.

“Xingan Ridge Romance”

“A journey of wind and snow, a strange encounter,” the wonderful encounter between the medicine man, the silly deer and the “ginseng essence.” Through the sincere and simple performance, it interprets the relationship between man and nature between the pure goodwill and guardianship feelings, and brings a warm ending to the whole performance.

The talents of the students are amazing, the style of the teachers can not be missed. At the end of the activity, the teachers used exquisite acting skills to restore the famous scenes on the screen, which injected more surprises and excitement into the drama festival and showed the teachers’ different style beyond the stage.
