Research as the Foundation

On the first day of the conference, students submitted their Position Papers. Prior to this, they had thoroughly studied the background materials provided by the organizing committee, conducting systematic research based on the foreign policies, international stances, and diplomatic relations of the countries they represented, laying a solid academic groundwork for subsequent speeches and negotiations.

Showcasing Talent

During the timed public speaking sessions, students confidently and calmly took the podium, delivering well-structured presentations firmly anchored in their assigned country’s position. They conveyed core viewpoints with compelling expression, fully demonstrating exceptional public speaking skills and impromptu speaking ability.

Building Consensus

Following the speeches, delegates entered the free consultation phase. They proactively communicated, formed alliances, sought common ground amidst differences, and advanced the agenda through collaboration. Through sustained discussion and negotiation, working groups gradually formed, jointly drafting Working Papers.

Resolution Finale

Before the final session, each delegation submitted Draft Resolutions embodying the collective wisdom of multiple parties. This entire process tested not only students’ understanding of the issues but also their ability to forge consensus amidst diverse positions.

Within this multicultural and globally engaged environment, students are also encouraged to study Chinese, strengthening their ability to communicate across cultures and deepening their understanding of the context in which these international dialogues take place.

After four days of intense and fulfilling sessions, the students from HIS delivered outstanding performances. Our school delegation was honored with the Outstanding Delegation group award, while two students were recognized with individual Verbal Commendation awards for their exceptional personal contributions.
